The Story of Eden Pasticceria
In 2015, Daniele Barresi and his wife Mary began a journey that would change their lives forever. Leaving behind everything familiar in Italy, they arrived in Australia with a dream, two suitcases, and a deep desire to create something meaningful together.
What started as a family adventure soon grew into a vision to bring a true taste of Italy to their new home. The early years were filled with challenges such as learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and starting from zero, but every step built the foundation of what would one day become Eden Pasticceria.
Daniele’s Passion: A Life Devoted to Craft
From a young age, Daniele showed an extraordinary gift for sculpting and pastry making. His hands, guided by passion and precision, could transform the simplest ingredients into breathtaking works of art. Over time, he became a world champion in fruit and vegetable carving, earning recognition as one of the most creative and meticulous food artists in the world.
But his dream extended far beyond awards and titles. Daniele wanted to build a place where artistry, craftsmanship, and authentic Italian pastry could come together in perfect harmony.
Two paths, one vision
As Eden grew, another passionate Italian chef shared the same dream. Vincenzo Cuomo, from the picturesque town of Positano, was raised in a family of butchers and grew up surrounded by tradition, precision, and respect for quality ingredients. Over the years, he perfected his skills as a restaurant manager and pastry chef, mastering classic Neapolitan creations such as sfogliatella and pastiera napoletana.
When Daniele and Vincenzo met, their connection was instant. Both driven by creativity, authenticity, and a deep love for Italian culture, they quickly realised they shared the same vision to bring the heart and joy of Italy to Sydney through pastry and art.
A New Chapter: Eden Reimagined
In 2025, Eden Pasticceria entered a new chapter led by Daniele Barresi and Vincenzo Cuomo, two chefs, two friends, and one vision. Together they have transformed Eden into one of Sydney’s most loved and talked-about pastry destinations.
Daniele’s artistic mastery and innovation blend seamlessly with Vincenzo’s traditional expertise and deep understanding of flavour and hospitality. The result is a perfect harmony between creativity and authenticity, between modern artistry and timeless Italian flavour.
Beyond the Kitchen
Their passion extends far beyond the counter. Known for their live Millefoglie shows, Daniele and Vincenzo bring Italian celebration to life at weddings and events, performing the art of cake making surrounded by music, laughter, and the joyful rhythm of Italian spirit. With Italian songs filling the air and napkins swirling above the crowd, these moments have become a true Eden signature, a celebration of life, love, and the magic of Italy.
More Than a Pasticceria
Today, Eden Pasticceria stands as a symbol of friendship, passion, and determination. It is more than a pastry shop. It is a home filled with warmth, creativity, and Italian soul.
Every dessert tells a story. Whether it is Daniele sculpting sugar into delicate art or Vincenzo crafting a tray of golden sfogliatelle, each creation carries the same message: love for the craft and joy for the people who share it.
Where Every Dessert Tells a Story
Eden is where Calabria meets Positano, where tradition meets innovation, and where every bite tells a story of culture, friendship, and heart.
What began as a dream between Daniele and Mary has now become a partnership built on passion and respect, a place where two Italian chefs continue to share the sweetness of Italy with the world.
